InspiRide - Training, Wellness and Employability Course
InspiRide is an empowering employability and training programme created to help individuals develop practical skills, gain confidence, and build pathways to employment. With support from The National Lottery, Stirling Council, and the Robertson Trust, InspiRide partners with local authorities, employment services, and schools to deliver a tailored approach to vocational training in the cycling industry and beyond.
Programme Highlights
A unique aspect of InspiRide is the opportunity for participants to build their own bike, a process that combines technical knowledge, hands-on learning, and a strong sense of accomplishment. By the end of the programme, each participant leaves not only with new skills but with a fully functioning bike they’ve assembled themselves—an experience that builds confidence and ownership in their achievements.
InspiRide goes beyond technical training, offering extensive employability support tailored to each participant’s needs. Our workshops include personalised guidance on CV-building, interview skills, job applications, and career exploration. The goal is to provide each individual with the tools they need to transition smoothly into employment or further education.
Volunteer Experience and Community Engagement
InspiRide offers various volunteering opportunities with local cycling and outdoor organisations, such as Comrie Croft and King's Park, where participants can apply their new skills, gain valuable workplace experience, and make connections within the community. These placements give participants insight into potential career paths and provide a supportive setting to apply their skills in real-world situations. Partnerships with other community-based organisations offer additional volunteering opportunities, reinforcing teamwork, communication, and leadership skills in diverse settings.
Programme Structure
The InspiRide programme runs part-time, Monday to Thursday, typically over six weeks, ensuring a balance between training and other commitments. Our experienced trainers lead participants through each stage, fostering both technical expertise and soft skills in a collaborative learning environment.
